LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Five University of Louisville baseball student-athletes were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® team released by the organization on Tuesday.
Kaleb Corbett, Patrick Forbes, Sebastian Gongora, Isaac Humphrey and Evan Webster represented the Cardinals on the academic team.
The 2024 Academic All-District® Baseball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes baseball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
To be eligible, an undergraduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, while a graduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) as both an undergraduate and a grad student.
On the field, student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played or must start in at least 66 percent. For pitchers, it is 17 appearances or 25 innings pitched.
The Louisville baseball program just completed its 26th consecutive semester with a team grade point average above 3.0.
