Gabi Albiero Named Second Team CSC Academic All-American

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Senior swimmer Gabi Albiero was named as a second team Academic All-American selected by the College Sports Communicators announced today.
Albiero is a marketing major with a 3.944 gpa. She helped the University of Louisville to a second place finish at the 2024 ACC Championships and a sixth place finish at the NCAA Championships last month in Athens, Ga. She earned All-American honors in the 50 free, the 100 free, the 400 free relay and the 200 free relay which finished second in the nation. At the ACC Championships in Greensboro in February, she earned 78 points for the Cardinals and earned a silver medal in the 200 free relay, the 400 free relay and the 100 fly. She earned bronze in the 400 medley relay and was fourth in the 200 medley relay, and the 100 freestyle. Â
The 2023-24 Academic All-District Swimming & Diving Teams, selected by the College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom.
