
Women’s Golf Set to Compete at 2024 ACC Championships

The four-day tournament will be held in Wilmington, N.C.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Ninth-seeded Louisville women's golf team is set to begin postseason play this weekend as they head south to North Carolina for the 2024 ACC Championships. The tournament will take place from Apr. 18-21 and it will be held at the Par-72, 6,142-yard Porters Neck Country Club in Wilmington, N.C.
The four-day championship tournament begins with three rounds of stroke play, starting on Thursday, April 18. The first three rounds will be played over the first three days and then will transition into match play. The top-four teams from the three rounds of stroke play will advance on to the championship match play portion of the tournament, which will be held on Sunday, April 21.
Hana Ryskova leads the squad as this will be her fourth ACC Championship appearance. Her best finish came last year when she tied for 19th overall at 4-over-par. Carmen Griffiths will be competing in her third ACC Championship this weekend. Her best finish was her freshman year when she placed tied for 35th overall. It will also be Rylee Suttor's second trip to ACC's and she finished tied with Ryskova at 19th overall and 4-over-par in last year's tournament. It will be the first ACC Championship for Beatriz Barrios, Gabbi Bentancourt and Millie Cottrell.
The semifinals and finals of the ACC Women's Golf Championship Match Play will be televised live on ACC Network Extra. Ryan Burr (play-by-play) and Suzy Whaley (analyst) will provide the call. A championship recap show will air May 6 at 8 p.m. on ACCN.
The first round of the ACC Championships is set to begin at 9 a.m. on Thursday morning. Louisville will begin its round between 9:50 am and 10:30 am on Hole No. 10. Fans can follow the live stats here or via our social media channels for updates.
