Cardinals Set to Host No. 3 Boston College on Sunday

Louisville is coming off back-to-back road wins, including their first ACC win over Pitt
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville women's lacrosse team returns home this Sunday, March 10 for a ranked ACC match up against the No. 3 Boston College Eagles. The opening draw will take place at 12 p.m. ET and will be televised on ACC Network Extra.
ABOUT THE CARDINALS
Louisville is currently on a two-game win streak with back-to-back road wins over Pitt (19-11) and Cincinnati (18-13). The Cardinals dropped their first ACC game of the season at home to Virginia Tech, 14-10.
Kokoro Nakazawa recorded a career-high six goals and Allegra Catalano tied a season-high four goals in leading Louisville to an 18-13 win over Cincinnati on Wednesday afternoon. Negai Nakazawa followed with her fifth career hat trick in moving the Cards to a 3-4 (1-1 ACC) record.
ABOUT THE EAGLES
Boston College lacrosse rolled past Boston University with a convincing 23-5 triumph in the Battle of Commonwealth Avenue in Fish Field House on Wednesday afternoon. The Eagles are 7-1 following the win, combining for a 43-12 score in the last two wins.
Five Eagles have at least 15 goals through seven games, with Rachel Clark's 24 leading the way. Kayla Martello (22), Cassidy Weeks (16), Belle Smith (15) and Emma LoPinto (15) round out the leaders. A total of 17 players have scored this season for BC.
SERIES HISTORY
The Cards and the Eagles have played 11 times with their first meeting in 2015. Louisville is 1-10 all-time against Boston College, winning once at home on Feb. 27, 2016.

Kokoro Nakazawa tallied a career-high six goals in the victory at Cincinnati on Wednesday. She is the first Cardinal this season to record a sock trick and has tallied six hat tricks in seven games this season. Kokoro scored eight points in the win and became the 16th Card in program history to join the 100-point club. In the win over Pitt, Kokoro tallied five goals and a career-high three assists. Totaling 24 goals and 33 points so far this season, she is leading the team in both categories. Kokoro is first in the conference and sixth nationally in free position goals per game with 1.43. She is also first in the conference in free position percentage (.833).
Nicole Perroni is off to a hot start this season. Through the first seven games, she has tallied 19 goals and five assists on 48 shots. She is second in the conference in caused turnovers per game with 2.43. Perroni is first in the ACC and sixth nationally in free position goals per game with 1.43. Playing 59 games in her career, the midfielder is currently on a program-high 43 game goal-scoring streak, which broke the previous record of 34 games. She is also on a 43 game point-scoring streak which ties for first in program history.
Sara Addeche has continued to guard the net through the first seven games of the season. She has recorded 69 saves and a .437 save percentage in 409:30 minutes at the net. She ranks first in the ACC and third nationally in saves and first in the conference in saves per game this season with 9.86.
