Hana Ryskova led the Cards and finished tied for 23rd
AUGUSTA, Ga. — The University of Louisville women's golf team wrapped up its play at the Valspar Augusta Invitational on Sunday afternoon. After playing nearly 27 holes on Friday, the Cardinals finished off round two Sunday morning before completing the final round in the afternoon. Louisville finished 16th overall at 38-over-par, 902 for the tournament.
Senior Hana Ryskova finished strong for the Cardinals after being the third-highest finisher through the first 27 holes. She shot a 3-over-par, 75 in the second round and carded a weekend-best 2-under-par, 70 in the final round. Ryskova ended the tournament tied for 23rd overall at 1-over-pa, 217 for the tournament.
Carmen Griffiths finished tied for 69th overall at 11-over-par, 227. She shot 3-over-par, 75 in the second round and 5-over-par, 77 in the third round. One stroke behind her was Rylee Suttor at 12-over-par, 228 and she finished tied for 72nd overall. She shot 4-over-par, 76 in the second round and 5-over-par, 77 in the third round.
Beatriz Barrios was two strokes behind Suttor at 14-over-par, 230 to finish tied for 75th overall. Barrios shot a 5-over-par, 77 in the second round and 7-over-par, 79 in the third round. Rounding out the team was Gabbi Bentancourt at 26-over-par, 242 to finish 89th.
The Cardinals will not have to wait long to get back on the course again after they head back to campus. Louisville will be back in action on Friday, March 22, when they travel to Clemson for the Clemson Invitational. The three-day tournament will be held at The Reserve at Lake Keowee and it will conclude on Sunday, March 24.
