
Cardinals Tied for 13th After Round One at Clemson Invitational

Carmen Griffiths leads the Cards at Even Par after Round 1
CLEMSON, S.C. — The Louisville women's golf team is tied for 13th overall after the first round of the Clemson Invitational Friday afternoon. Held at The Reserve at Lake Keowee, Louisville carded a 10-over-par 298 in the first round of action.
Carmen Griffiths was the leading individual for the Cards after the first round. She is tied for 20th overall after finishing even-par 72 over the first 18 holes. It was her 12th round this season at par or better, tied for the most on the team this year.
Hana Ryskova was just two strokes behind Griffiths at 2-over-par 74 and she was tied for 40th overall. Beatriz Barrios is tied for 50th overall at 3-over-par 75 in the first round.
Rylee Suttor had a strong first nine holes on Friday but ended up 5-over-par 77 and is tied for 68th overall. Freshman Millie Cottrell rounded out the squad at 7-over-par 79 and she is tied for 80th overall.
The second round is set to start at 9 a.m. ET as the teams will shotgun start off of holes 1 and 10. The first Cardinal to tee off will be Millie Cottrell at 9:10am with the rest of the team following 10 minutes after her.
