
Cardinals in 15th After Round Two at Clemson Invitational

Carmen Griffiths continues to lead the Cards after a 3-under 69 in the second round
CLEMSON, S.C. — The Louisville women's golf team is sitting in 16th overall after the second round of the Clemson Invitational Saturday afternoon. The Cardinals improved their score from the first round as they finished with a 3-over-par 291 on Saturday.
Carmen Griffiths continued her strong play in the second round as she fired a 3-under-par 69. Griffiths is tied for 11th overall and it was her 13th round this season at par or better. That mark is tied for the team lead this season and both of her rounds this weekend have been at par or better. In the second round, Griffiths did not card a bogey and had three birdies on the day.
Hana Ryskova joined Griffins with a par or better round on Saturday. She had a team-best five birdies on the afternoon and finished at even-par 72 to move up into a tie for 38th overall. It was her 13th round at par or better and she is tied with Griffiths for the team lead this season.
Rylee Suttor was the third Cardinal with a par or better round on Saturday as she joined Ryskova at even-par 72. She sits tied for 58th overall and it was her eighth par or better round this season.
Beatriz Barrios and Millie Cottrell both tallied a 6-over-par 78 in the second round on Saturday. Barrios is tied for 72nd and Cottrell is tied for 82nd overall heading into the final round on Sunday.
The final round is set to start at 9 a.m. ET on Sunday as the teams will shotgun start off of holes 1 and 10. Fans can follow along with the live stats here or our social media channels for updates throughout the tournament.
