Women’s Golf Travels to Fighting Irish Classic

This is the second tournament in as many weeks for the Cards
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Louisville women's golf team wasted no time getting back out on the course as they head out for their next tournament. The Cardinals are traveling north to South Bend to take part in the Fighting Irish Classic this weekend. The two-day event will begin on Saturday, September 25 and will be held at the Warren Golf Course.
The Cardinals are coming off their most recent tournament, which started one week ago when they took part in the Mason Rudolph Classic. The Cardinals finished seventh overall in a field of 15 teams. They have finished in the top half of each of their tournaments so far in the spring. At the Boilermaker Classic to begin the season, the Cards finished sixth of 16 teams.
The Louisville lineup for the Fighting Irish Classic will be Veronika Exposito, Bailey Burkett, Madison Moman, Isabella Anderson and Amy Hodgkins while Millie Cottrell will be competing as an individual.
Last time out, Exposito led the way for the Cards at the Mason Rudolph Championship. She finished tied for 17th overall at 3-over-par 216 for the weekend. She had two rounds at even-par-71, tied for the lowest round by a Louisville player at the event.
Burkett, Anderson and Hodgkins all shot a round of even-par 71 during the tournament. Burkett finished tied for 30th overall at 6-over-par 219. Anderson and Moman both finished tied for 34th overall at 7-over-par 220.
The first and second round will take place on Saturday with the final round being played on Sunday. The first round will begin at 8:30 a.m. ET with a shotgun start and the second round will be played later in the day.
