Cardinals Travel to Pitt on Saturday

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The University of Louisville women's lacrosse team (1-4, 0-1 ACC) will hit the road for an ACC match-up against Pittsburgh (2-3, 0-1 ACC) on Saturday, March 2. The opening draw will take place at 12 p.m. ET.
After a week-long break, the Cardinals will face their second conference opponent of the season. On Saturday, Louisville dropped their first ACC game to Virginia Tech, 14-10. Nicole Perroni and Kokoro Nakazawa led the way with hat tricks but came up short to the visiting Hokies.
KEY PLAYERS
Nicole Perroni is already off to a hot start this season. Through the first five games, she has tallied 14 goals and two assists on 32 shots. She is second in the conference in caused turnovers per game with 2.20 and first in the ACC in free position goals per game with 1.60. Her four-goal showing against Virginia Tech marked her 21st career hat trick and the third time this season she has scored four goals in a game. Perroni also tallied four goals in the win over Marquette and against Colorado.
Sara Addeche has continued to guard the net through the first five games of the season. She has recorded 61 saves and a .477 save percentage in 300:00 minutes at the net. She ranks first nationally in saves and first in the conference (fourth nationally) in saves per game this season with 12.20. Addeche recorded her fourth game of the season with double-digit saves on Saturday, tallying 10 against Virginia Tech. This marks her 10th career game with 10 or more saves and adds to her 257 career-save total, which is fourth in program history.

Louisville is 1-2 all-time against Pitt, grabbing their first victory of the series last season, 12-9.
