Cardinals Travel to Lindenwood Sunday

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville women's lacrosse team will travel to Lindenwood on Sunday, Feb. 18 with the first draw scheduled at 1 p.m. ET.

The Cardinals are 1-2 going into this weekend's contest with a recent 14-9 victory over Marquette on Friday. Louisville scored seven unanswered goals over a span of 18 minutes in the second half with dominant performances by Nicole Perroni, Kokoro Nakazawa, and Negai Nakazawa. Three different players recorded hat tricks on the afternoon as Louisville picked up its first win of the season.
KEY PLAYERS
Nicole Perroni is already off to a hot start this season. Through the first three games, she has tallied nine goals and an assist on 18 shots. Her four-goal showing against Marquette marked the 20th hat trick of her career. Perroni also tallied four goals against Colorado and has scored at least once in each game this season. Playing 55 games in her career, the midfielder is currently on a program-high 39 game goal-scoring streak, which broke the previous record of 34 games. She is also on a 39 game point-scoring streak which ranks third in program history.
Sara Addeche has continued to guard the net through the first three games of the season. She has recorded 42 saves and a .506 save percentage in 180:00 minutes at the net this season. She ranks first in the conference and sixth nationally in saves this season. The senior tied a career-high 18 saves in the victory over Marquette, the most single-game saves in the nation so far this season. She allowed just nine goals, her lowest this season. Along with her 14 saves against No. 4 Denver and 10 saves against Colorado, Addeche is on a six-game streak with double digit saves. Her career-day against Marquette marked the ninth game in her career that she has recorded double digit saves.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Lindenwood women's lacrosse team took on Radford in their second game of the season. The Lions would cruise past the Highlanders by a score of 18-5, after scoring eight goals in the first quarter. In their season-opener, Lindenwood had a commanding 20-6 win over the San Diego State Aztecs. Grad student, Logann Eldredge leads the way for the Lions with 14 goals and three assists on 21 shots this season.
