Women’s Soccer Places 18 on All-ACC Academic Team

It is the most players on the All-ACC Academic Team in program history
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — 18 University of Louisville women's soccer student-athletes were named to the 2023 All-ACC Team, the conference announced on Thursday. The 18 student-athletes were the most representatives the Cardinals have had on the team since they joined the ACC in 2014.
Louisville players represented on the team are forward Ravin Alexander, midfielder Morgan Bentley, defender Karsyn Cherry, forward Molly Cochran, defender Maddy Ellsworth, goalie Erynn Floyd, forward Fiona Gaißer, forward Mackenzie Geigle, forward Emma Hiscock, midfielder Hayley Howard, midfielder Betsy Huckaby, forward Emersen Jennings, defender Lucy Roberts, defender Emma Kate Schroll, defender Autumn Weeks, forward Savina Zamborini and Addie Chester.
This past fall semester, the Cards registered a 3.74 team GPA. They had 27 student-athletes who earned AD Honor Roll status, which is a 3.0 GPA or higher in the semester. 25 student-athletes earned Red and Black scholar status, which is a 3.25 GPA or higher in the semester. A total of 10 student-athletes had a perfect 4.0 GPA in the fall semester.
Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0-grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team's contests.
