
Davis, Fitzgerald to Headline 2025 Louisville Baseball Leadoff Dinner

The annual event will be held Friday, Jan. 24, 2025, at the Louisville Marriott Downtown.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville baseball alumni Henry Davis and Tyler Fitzgerald will be the featured guests at the 2025 Leadoff Dinner presented by Republic Bank. The annual event is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET on Friday, Jan. 24, 2025, at the Louisville Marriott Downtown.

The 2025 Leadoff Dinner guests were among 11 Louisville baseball alumni to spend time on MLB rosters during the 2024 season and 43 former Cardinals assigned to professional teams at the conclusion of the year. A complete list of Cardinals in professional baseball can be found here.
Henry Davis
C, Pittsburgh Pirates
The No. 1 overall pick in 2021, Davis made his Major League debut on June 19, 2023. Davis has played in 99 games over the last two seasons, tallying 14 doubles and eight homers, including a two-homer night against Shohei Ohtani in July of 2023.
Tyler Fitzgerald
INF/OF, San Francisco Giants
A fourth-round pick in 2019, Fitzgerald reached the big leagues on September 21, 2023. Fitzgerald had a memorable rookie season in 2024, hitting .280 with 15 home runs in 96 games. Fitzgerald went on a torrid stretch in July that saw him tie the MLB rookie record with a home run in five consecutive games, making him the first Giants player since Barry Bonds with a homer in five straight.
