Cards Set to Compete at ITA Regional Championships

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – UofL women's tennis will compete in their third tournament of the fall season as they travel to Tennessee for the ITA Ohio Valley Regional, hosted by Middle Tennessee State at the MTSU Tennis Complex.
The Ohio Valley Regional will feature 24 teams from around the region from Tennessee, Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. There will be 32 players competing in the doubles main draw, while 112 singles players make up the main and qualifying draws. Singles action will begin at 10 a.m. ET with doubles play yet to be announced.
Each doubles champion, as well as both the singles champion and finalist, will qualify for the season-ending NCAA Division I Individual Championships held November 19-24 in Waco, Texas.
The Cardinals will be represented in the qualifying draw by Germany Davis, Elena Noguero, Elisabeth Iila and Berta Miret.
Alice Otis and Lika Peresypkina will compete in the main singles draw for Louisville.
The Cards first round draw is listed below.
UofL is coming off a strong showing last weekend at the Martha Thorn Invitational as Davis, Iila, and Noguero all advanced to the finals of their respected flights.
