Women's Tennis Shines in Doubles on Day Two of ITA Regionals

All three of Louisville's doubles pairings advance to the Round of 32
Murfreesboro, Tenn. – UofL women's tennis concludes a successful day two at the ITA Regionals. All three of the Cardinal's doubles pairings advanced to the second round, while two Cards advanced in singles action.
Day two kicked off with singles play, as Alice Otis and Lika Peresypkina secured their first wins of the tournament to advance to the Round of 32.
Germany Davis, Elena Noguero, Elisabeth Iila, and Berta Miret all took their first losses of the tournament but will look to bounce back in the consolation draw.
Elena Noguero received a bye in the consolation draw due to a withdrawal in the first round, securing her a spot in the round of 16.
Following singles, the doubles draw kicked off as the duo of Davis and Noguero punched their ticket to the second after an 8-5 win.
The pairing of Otis and Iila continue their fall dominance, securing an 8-4 win to advance.
The dynamic duo of Peresypkina and Miret ended the day for Louisville besting a duo from regional-foe Cincinnati 8-7 (11-9).
Tomorrow's action gets under way at 10 a.m. ET with doubles action with singles play to follow.
