Peresypkina Advances to the Round of 16 on Day Three of ITA Regionals

Murfreesboro, Tenn. – Lika Peresypkina advances to the Round of 16 as day three concludes at the ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championships.
The third day of action kicked off with doubles action as the duo of Alice Otis and Elisabeth Iila defeated Xavier's Elizabeth Pendergast and Emily Flowers 8-4, to move onto the Round of 16. The newcomer's run came to an end however, as they fell to a duo from Vanderbilt 8-4.
The doubles pairing of Peresypkina and Berta Miret also advanced to the Round of 16 after making quick work of Butler's Chase Metcalf and Jordan Schildcrout 8-2. The duo eventually fell in next round after a hard-fought match, 8-6.
The duo of Elena Noguero and Germany Davis fell 8-1 in the Round of 32.
After dropping the first set, Peresypkina fought back to punch her ticket to the Round of 16 in the singles draw, besting the Musketeer's Madeline Rexroat 4-6, 6-4, 6-2.
Junior transfer Alice Otis dropped her first singles match of the fall, losing 6-3, 6-3 in the Round of 32.
Peresypkina will look to continue her run into the quarterfinals tomorrow morning, with the draw yet to be announced.
