Cardinals Play Host to Indiana Friday in Fall Softball Doubleheader

The University of Louisville softball team returns home this weekend to host a doubleheader against Indiana University on Friday with the action beginning at 4 p.m. at Ulmer Stadium.

Venue: Don Dobina Field at Ulmer Stadium
Admission: Free
Gates Open: One (1) hour prior to first pitch
Clear Bag Policy: A Clear Bag Policy remains in place at all UofL athletics facilities. Fans may bring one clear bag, either a one-gallon clear Ziploc-style storage bag, or a 12 x 6 x 12 inches clear tote bag.
Parking: Fans are encouraged to park in the Floyd Street Parking Garage for a $5 fee.

Cardinal Quick Hits:
The Cards are coming off of a weekend in Richmond, Kentucky that saw them face off against the Eastern Kentucky Colonels on Oct. 6. Louisville's matchup with Indiana will be the second home doubleheader of the fall season. The 2024-25 UofL squad will take the field with a roster that features 13 returners, including 2023 All-ACC selections Easton Lotus and Alyssa Zabala. Additionally, Louisville welcomes nine newcomers including seven freshmen and two transfers.

The Cards finished the 2024 season with a 27-25 overall record and 8-16 mark against ACC opponents.

Scouting the Hoosiers:
Indiana enters the fall looking to build off a strong 2024 campaign in which they went 40-20 overall and 12-11 in Big Ten play. The 2025 season will be the Hoosiers' eighth under the leadership of head coach Shonda Stanton.

Up Next:
Following this weekend's doubleheader, the Cardinals will travel to Lexington for an in-state rivalry matchup with the University of Kentucky. The Cards and Wildcats will square off on Thursday, Oct. 17 with first pitch scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
