
Volleyball Announces Home Match Schedule

Three matches will be held at the KFC Yum! Center
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The University of Louisville volleyball team has unveiled their home match schedule for the fall of 2023 which includes three matches at the KFC Yum! Center.

After a Red & Black Scrimmage on Aug. 19, the Cardinals will host the Cardinal Classic featuring Wright State, Troy and Washington State on Aug. 25-27 at L&N Federal Credit Union Arena.

The next homestand features some of the best names in college volleyball as Penn State, Kentucky and Stanford visit the Derby City. The UK (Sept. 13)Â and Stanford (Sept. 17) matches will be contested at the KFC Yum! Center and Penn State (Sept. 10) will be at L&N Arena.

UofL's home Atlantic Coast Conference slate begins with Syracuse on Sept. 22 followed by Boston College Sept. 24 in L&N Arena. Rival Pittsburgh visits the Ville on Oct. 13 and is slated to be the third match to be held at the KFC Yum! Center. The Cards and Panthers last met at last year's volleyball Final Four in Omaha.

The Cards will host Virginia Oct. 15 before Florida State (Oct. 27) and Miami (Oct. 29) swing through. Nov. 10th and 12th will feature Duke and North Carolina. Louisville will end its regular season by hosting rival Georgia Tech on Nov. 22 with all those matches being contested at L&N Arena.

Men's basketball premium seat holders have a right of first refusal for the Yum! Center matches that begins March 28 with https://am.ticketmaster.com/uofl/rofr being the link. Volleyball season ticket members will be able to purchase the KFC Yum! Center matches starting April 3. On April 10 the KFC Yum! Center package goes on sale to all Cardinal season ticket members and then opens to the general public on April 11. August 1 will mark the renewal deadline for volleyball season tickets.

About the Cards:
The No. 2 overall seed and the No. 2-ranked University of Louisville volleyball team (31-3, 17-1) advanced to its second-straight Final Four appearance. After beating ACC rival Pittsburgh in the Semi-finals, the Cardinals advanced to their first-ever NCAA Championships match before falling to top-seeded Texas.
The Cardinals earned their spot in the Final Four after sweeping No. 4 Baylor in the Sweet 16, before defeating No. 3 Oregon in a five-set thriller in the Elite Eight.  The Cards dispatched Samford and Purdue in the first and second rounds at L&N Federal Credit Union Arena without dropping a set. UofL earned the ACC's automatic qualifier with a 17-1 record in the league with Dani Busboom Kelly being voted ACC Coach of the Year. Claire Chaussee was voted ACC Player of the Year. Raquel Lazaro was voted ACC Setter of the Year and libero Elena Scott winning ACC Defensive Player of the Year.
