LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville volleyball program has announced its full schedule for the upcoming 2026 season.
The 32-match regular season slate features 18 matches against teams that made the 2025 NCAA Tournament, including all four national semifinalists from a year ago. The Cardinals will play 14 home matches over the course of the season, three of which will be played downtown at the KFC Yum! The Cardinals will host their annual intrasquad Red & Black Scrimmage on Aug. 15 before officially kicking off Dan Meske's second season at the helm of the program the following week with two matches at the AVCA First Serve Showcase in Milwaukee.
Louisville will open the season taking on Texas A&M, the reigning national champions, on Aug. 21 in a rematch of last season's regional semifinal, before matching up with Wisconsin, another 2025 national semifinalist, on Aug. 22.
The Cards will then return home for three matches at L&N Federal Credit Union Arena, with the home opener set for Aug. 28 against Indiana and matches against Dayton and TCU to follow.
Louisville will follow the three-game homestand with a trip to Nashville, Tenn. for the Broadway Block Party, which will pit the Cardinals against Texas on Sept. 6 at Bridgestone Arena, before returning home for a home match against Missouri on Sept. 9 at the KFC Yum! Center as part of the second annual ACC/SEC Showdown at the Net.
UofL will then take part in the Rice Invitational from Sept. 11-13 in Houston, Texas, where they will play a trio of 2025 NCAA Tournament teams in Rice, Creighton, and Northern Iowa.
The Cards will close out their nonconference slate on the road with a pair of in-state matchups: Western Kentucky on Sept. 16 and the Battle of the Bluegrass against Kentucky on Sept. 20.
Louisville will open their ACC schedule on the road with matches against Syracuse and Boston College on the final weekend of September. The Cardinals will also travel to Florida State, Miami, Virginia, Virginia Tech, and Pittsburgh over the course of the season, while playing three home-and-homes against Notre Dame, North Carolina, and SMU.
In addition to the three home-and-homes, the Cards will welcome California, Stanford, Duke, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, and NC State to The Ville in 2026.
