LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Redshirt freshman Chloe Meester had eight kills, hit .500 with seven aces and a block to lead the University of Louisville volleyball team to a 3-1 win over rival Kentucky in the final spring match of the season Friday evening at Historic Memorial Coliseum.

The Cardinals, who won 25-15, 19-25, 25-10, 25-16, hit .367 with 14 blocks and 11 aces. Chloe Chicoine added eight kills, hit .318 with a team-high 14 digs and three blocks. Opposite Kalyssa Blackshear also had eight kills and added five blocks. Setter Nayelis Cabello had 20 assists, an ace and four blocks, adding three kills of her own.

The Wildcats hit .148 with 40 digs and six blocks. UK was led by Brooklyn Deleye's match-high 13 kills, although she was held to .071 hitting. Morgan Gaerte added 11 kills and a pair of blocks with setter Kassie O'Brien running the UK offense with 36 assists and 10 digs. Libero Molly Tuozzo had 14 digs and four assists.

The match marks the end of the spring season.
