Gizzi Punches Her Ticket to NCAAs on 1M During Day 2 at NCAA Zone C

Saturday will feature platform diving
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- After the second day of competition, the University of Louisville had two finalists the 2023 NCAA Zone C Diving Championships that runs through Saturday, March 11 at the Counsilman-Billingsley Aquatic Center as regional divers attempt to qualify for the 2023 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.

Lindsay Gizzi punched her ticket to NCAAs when she finished 10th in the finals with a score of 540.55 on the 1M board. In prelims, Jiselle Miller finished 30th with a 231.95 and Grace Leonard was 46th with a score of 198.00.
"Lindsay had an epic comeback in the 1m finals after finishing 16th in prelims with a 256.35," said diving coach Ryan Rogeux. "In finals, Lindsay nailed every dive, scoring 284.20 to jump six spots and qualify for the NCAA championships. I'm super proud of her ability to battle under pressure and I believe this performance has set her up for an awesome NCAA Championship debut."
On the men's 3M springboard, Adam Sneden made the finals and finished 15th with a score of 649.40.  Che Stephens finished 18th in the preliminaries with a 306.25.
