
Louisville to Host Ohio State Thursday Night at Cardinal Stadium

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville lacrosse continues its homestand as they welcome Ohio State this Thursday night at Cardinal Stadium. First draw is set for 7 p.m. ET and will broadcast on the ACC Network.
Fans can enter through Gate 2 of Cardinal Stadium. Admission is free for all fans.
This season, Louisville has four players with 20+ goals in Hannah Morris (32), Nicole Perroni (29), Allegra Catalano (22) and Caroline Blalock (21). The last time the Cardinals had four such players was 2019 when the team had five in Tessa Chad (56), Ally Hall (28), Shayla Scanlan (26), Alex McNicholas (23) and Caroline Blalock (20).
Morris leads the team with 32 goals, which rank ninth in the ACC, and her 2.91 goals per game rank 11th. Perroni is second on the team with 29 goals, which rank 15th in the league.
Blalock is in the midst of a 17-game point streak, dating back to 4/3/21 vs. Virginia Tech. The streak is the longest of her career and is the longest since Hannah Koloski recorded a point in 22 straight games from 4/23/16-5/12/17. Perroni boasts a 13-game point streak dating back to 4/24/21 vs. Notre Dame.
ABOUT THE BUCKEYESÂ
The Buckeyes are off to a 7-4 start this season, 1-1 in the Big Ten. Ohio State enters Thursday's contest after pulling out a 12-11 win over Penn State at home. The Buckeyes are led by sophomore attacker Jaime Lasada, who is fifth in the Big Ten with 30 goals and sixth with 37 points. Between the pipes, Ohio State sophomore goalkeeper Regan Alexander has posted 88 saves with a .461 save percentage. Alexander leads the Big Ten in saves and saves per game (8.0) and her .461 save percentage ranks third. The Buckeyes have been strong in the draw circle this season as they are second in their conference with 16.18 draws per game while leading the league and ranking ninth in the country with a .576 draw control percentage. Senior attacker Chloe Johnson leads the team and is second in the league and ninth in the nation with 8.09 draws per game.Â
Series History - Louisville is 3-5 all-time against Ohio State and 2-2 at home. The Cards are on a two-game win streak against the Buckeyes with the last meeting coming in 2019.Â
Last Meeting (April 9, 2019) - Tessa Chad led the Cardinals with a program record 11 points off nine goals and two assists as Louisville cruised to a 19-7 victory over the Buckeyes. Ally Hall recorded a hat trick with Paige Richbourg adding two goals and two assists.
