
Louisville Plays at No. 2 North Carolina on Sunday

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville lacrosse continues its road trip as it travels to Chapel, Hill, N.C. to take on No. 2 North Carolina at Dorrance Field. The game is set for 1 p.m. ET and will broadcast on ACC Network Extra.
UofL is 1-1 in the ACC to start the season. The Cards defeated Virginia Tech 14-11 on Feb. 26 in their ACC opener before falling to No. 1 Boston College 19-10 on March 5.

The Cardinals have scored 120 goals through eight games this season, which is the most since they scored 120 goals in the first eight games of the 2015 season.

Caroline Blalock notched three goals and five assists for eight points in the team's 16-9 win over Cincinnati on Wednesday. Her five assists are tied for fourth all-time and her eight points are tied for fifth all-time in a single game in program history.

Senior Hannah Morris leads the team with 24 goals this season, which rank sixth in the ACC and 15th in the NCAA. Her 3.00 goals per game rank seventh in the ACC. Junior Nicole Perroni has 23 goals in the first eight games this season, which rank seventh in the ACC and 18th in the NCAA.

ABOUT THE TAR HEELS
The Tar Heels are off to a 7-0 start this season, 1-0 in the ACC. Last season, North Carolina finished with a 20-1 record, 9-0 in conference play. UNC's lone defeat last season came against Boston College in the NCAA semifinal game where they fell, 11-10. The Tar Heels enter Sunday's contest on a seven-game win streak, winning their last matchup vs. Mercer, 20-7. North Carolina is led by fifth-year attacker Jamie Ortega, who was placed on the initial Tewaaraton Award Watch List. Ortega leads the team with 19 goals and 34 points, while her 2.17 assists per game rank second in the ACC. The Tar Heels continue to rely on grad-student Taylor Moreno in goal. Moreno has been a four-year starter between the posts and leads the ACC with a .483 save percentage, while ranking fifth with 46 saves. As a team, North Carolina is first in the ACC with 10.6 assists per game and have the top tanked scoring defense in the conference, only giving up 8.14 goals per game.
