Louisville brings a 7-3 overall record into the weekend after a 3-2 performance in Florida's T-Mobile Tournament. The Cardinals opened the weekend with a 10-7, nine-inning win against Villanova and followed with a 10-0 win over Florida A&M on Friday. Saturday brought a pair of losses against top-15 teams with a 9-1 setback at No. 4/4 Florida and a 6-3 loss to No. 14/14 Duke in a non-conference matchup. The Cards bounced back with a 3-2 eight-inning win against Villanova on Sunday.
• The Cardinals are led offensively by freshman Ally Alexander, who carries a .462 batting average and has reached base safely via a hit or walk in the last five games. Graduate senior Carmyn Greenwood follows closely at a .444 clip with a team-high 16 hits, five doubles, 17 runs and 14 RBI.
• Redshirt senior RHP Taylor Roby has shouldered the bulk of the pitching duties and holds a 2.75 ERA with 18 strikeouts in 28.0 innings of work. She has also belted out a team-best five homers.
• Freshman Easton Lotus has reached base safely via a hit or walk in each of the Cardinals' 10 games.Â
• The Cardinals return 15 players from last year's team including NFCA All-Southeast Region and All-ACC selections Carmyn Greenwood and Taylor Roby.
• Among the returners are 12 upperclassmen including seven seniors and five juniors, as well as senior transfer Hannah File (James Madison) and graduate transfer Kendall Smith (Western Kentucky).
• Louisville was picked to finish sixth in the ACC in a preseason vote by the league's head coaches.
• Graduate senior Carmyn Greenwood was selected to the Preseason All-ACC Softball team.

THE APRILE ERA
• Holly Aprile is entering her fourth season as UofL's head coach. With the 2020 campaign suspended prior to its midway point due to the outbreak of COVID-19, Aprile has compiled a 73-67-1 record and guided the Cardinals to an NCAA regional final appearance in 2019.
• Prior to her arrival at Louisville, Aprile, 2018 ACC Coach of the Year spent 10 seasons (2009-18) as Pittsburgh's head coach and five years (2004-08) as an assistant. In 2018, she earned ACC Coach of the Year honors after leading the Panthers to the 2018 ACC Coastal Division title and a runner-up finish in the ACC tournament.

Louisville will wrap up a 14-game road swing with a midweek contest at Miami (Ohio) before playing host to Hofstra, Western Michigan and Illinois in the Cardinal Classic which will take place March 4-6 at Ulmer Stadium.

Scouting the Razorbacks: No. 10 Arkansas (7-3) is coming off a 13-3 win over Western Illinois at home. The defending SEC champions were picked to finish third in the SEC this season and are led by Preseason All-SEC members Danielle Gibson and Mary Haff. The Razorbacks return 15 players from last year's team that advanced to the Super Regional and welcome the No. 1 signing class in the country. Head coach Courtney Deifel is in her seventh season leading the Razorbacks.
CARDINAL CONNECTION: Arkansas head coach Courtney Deifel spent four seasons (2012-15) as an assistant coach at the University of Louisville under Sandy Pearsall. During her time at Louisville, she helped the Cardinals to four NCAA appearances and the 2014 American Athletic Conference Tournament title.
