Louisville and Missouri swim in two day meet
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The University of Louisville and Missouri squared off in the Louisville First Chance Invitation Thursday morning at the Ralph Wright Natatorium.
The meet, which is configured in prelims and finals spread over two days, is geared for swimmers to post faster times for better seeds at their respective conference championships in the coming weeks.

- In the men's 200 IM, Ryan Hogan put up a 1:51.32.
- In the 500 free, Paige McCormick chased down Maria Sumida to touch in 4:47.59 ahead of Sumida's 4:47.77.
- Â Â Â Eli Shoyat put up a meet record 4:21.12 in the 500 freestyle. John Bossler was second in 4:25.08.
- Â In the 100 breast, Kaylee Wheeler touched first in 1:00.77 ahead of teammate Adry Kasemets' 1:03.44.
- In the men's 100 breast, Aidan Kreiley put up the winning time of 53.32 just ahead of Luke Shourds 53.39.
- In the 200 back, Tatiana Salcutan beat the field by almost four seconds, turning in a 1:55.41 ahead of Mizzou's Molly Hogg's time of 1:59.62.
- Â In the 200 back, Neal Morsi powered to a 1:43.94 for the win, ahead of Wylie Kruse's 1:45.15.Â
- In the 100 freestyle, Christiana Regenauer put up a 49.50 to out-touch Paige Hetrick by .01. Madie Hall was third in 49.80, Alena Kraus was fourth in 49.97 and Fernanda Celidonio was fifth in 50.03.Â
- Kyle Worrell won the men's 100 freestyle in 43.71, beating Owen Taylor (44.07), Santiago Aguilera (44.07), Caleb Duncan (44.25) and Jeffrey Tuning (46.38).Â
- Greyson Alarcon went 1:50.24 in the 200 fly.
- Rye Ulett turned in a 1:58.46 in the 200 IM.

- Maddie Luther and Duda Sumida went 4:49.41, 4:49.91 respectively in the 500 free.
- In the men's 500 free, Ilia Sibirtsev went 4:22.6 and Eli Shoyat went 4:23.67.
- Addie Farrington won the 100 breast in 1:00.50, Kaylee Wheeler (1:01.25), Â Morgan Friesen (1:01.59), Adry Kasemets was fourth in 1:02.76.
- Luke Shourds went 53.65 and Aidan Kreiley touched in 54.32.
- In the 200 backstroke, Tatiana Salcutan turned in the fastest time (1:55.41). Neal Morsi won the men's event in 1:46.69.
- In the 100 freestyle, Christiana Regenauer (49.50), Paige Hetrick (49.51), Madie Hall (49.80), Alena Krause (51.34) were the top four finishers.
- In the 100 freestyle, Kyle Worrell went 43.54, Evgenii Somov (43.96), Owen Taylor (44.18) and Santiago Aguilera (44.41) were the top four finishers.
- In the men's 200 butterfly, Gustavo Saldo (1:46.19), Denis Loktev (1:47.75) and Greyson Alarcon (1:50.53) turned in the top three times.
