2023-24: In the dual meet season, Ryan was fifth in the 200M backstroke (2:13.17 at the Tennessee meet. Against Notre Dame, he was seventh in the 200 back (1:56.88). In the meet with Missouri, Ryan was fifth in the 200 backstroke (1:52.01) and seventh in the 100 back (51.89). In the meet with rival Kentucky, he was fifth in both the 100 (50.869 and 200 backstroke (1:51.72). In the double dual meet with Indiana and Wisconsin, he was 10th in the 400 IM (4:06.52) and 11th in the 200 back. In the meet with Cincinnati, he was fifth in the 100 backstroke (51.56) bd sixth in the 200 backstroke (1:53.28).
2022-23: In the dual meet season, Hogan started off the year with a seventh place finish in the 100 back and was eighth in the 200 back against Xavier. At Tennessee, he was eighth in the 200 IM (1:57.89). At the Notre Dame meet, he was eighth in the 200 back (1:53.85). At the Purdue Invitational, he was 11th in the 200 IM (1:48.79) and 14th in the 400 IM and 20th in the 100 back and 21st I the 200 back. At Missouri, he was sixth in the 200 back and helped the C-relay team to sixth place with a leadoff leg of 23.21 as the Cards went 1:29.72. Against rival Kentucky, he was sixth in the 200 back and helped the C-relay team touch third in 1:29.57 with his leadoff leg of 23.21. Against Indiana, he was eighth in the 200 back and the 200 IM while helping his 200 C-Medley Relay team to a sixth place finish. In the final home dual meet of the year, he was fourth in the 100 back (50.21) and third in the 200 back (1:48.36) and fifth in the 400 IM (4:02.07).
2021-22: In his first season, Hogan added depth to the Cardinals in both backstroke and the IM. Against Cincinnati, Hogan recorded a season best in the 200 backstroke (1:51.11) to place 6th. He had several solid swims against Kentucky in the 200 backstroke (1:51.53) and the 200 IM (1:53.66). In his first meet with the Cardinals, Hogan competed in the 200 backstroke (1:52.04) and the 400 IM (4:05.02). A star student, he was named to the ACC Academic Honor and the University of Louisville AD Honor Roll.
Prep: Ryan came to Louisville from Atkinson, NH where he swam for Solo Aquatics and Coach Meghan Feran and for Timberlane Regional High School. He was a four-time Scholastic All-American. He was a two-time state champion and holds the state record in the 200 IM. He set eight school records during his prep career and attended the National Select Camp.
