UofL takes 12-0 record on the road as ACC play heats up
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – No. 3 University of Louisville volleyball hits the road again as it continues ACC play with matches at Clemson on Friday, Oct. 1 at 7 pm and at No. 18 Georgia Tech on Sunday, Oct. 3 at 1 pm.

Louisville vs. Clemson
Louisville and Clemson have met nine times previously with the Cardinals winning all nine matches. The most recent bout between the teams came Oct. 6, 2019, when the Cards came away with a 25-18, 26-24, 25-18 win. This season, the Tigers are off to a 10-3 start with a 2-0 record in conference matches. Clemson enters Friday's match off a 3-2 win over Wake Forrest. Clemson is led by new head coach Jackie Simpson Kirr. The Tigers' offense features three players with 100-plus kills on the season in Kaylee Martin, Camryn Hannah and Cate Long. Martin has recorded 157 kills with 54 digs, 15 blocks and five aces while Hannah has tallied 155 kills, 97 digs, 21 blocks and 10 aces. Long has contributed 111 kills, 83 digs, 16 aces and 11 blocks.

Louisville and Georgia Tech have played 14 matches dating back to November 2001. Louisville holds a 10-4 series lead with the most recent meeting being a 25-18, 25-15, 25-17 sweep for the Cardinals on March 26, 2021. This season, the Yellow Jackets are off to an 11-1 start with a 2-0 conference record. Georgia Tech is coming off a 3-0 win at Virginia Tech and will play Notre Dame at home on Friday before playing Louisville on Sunday. Led by head coach Michelle Collier in her eighth season, the Yellow Jackets advanced to the NCAA Tournament Second Round for the first time since 2004, earning the programs first tournament win in 17 years. Georgia Tech features three players three players with 120-plus kills with two having more then 180. Julia Bergmann leads the team with 182 kills and has 123 digs, 24 blocks and a team high 19 aces.
