Elena Scott records four aces
CLEMSON, S.C. -- Anna DeBeer had 11 kills, eight digs and an ace to lead the No. 3-ranked University of Louisville to a 25-16, 25-11, 25-19 win over Clemson in ACC volleyball action Friday night in Clemson, S.C.

The Cardinals, who remain undefeated at 13-0, hit .366 for the match with 44 kills, eight aces and seven blocks. Aiko Jones had nine kills and four blocks. Anna Stevenson had eight kills on 16 swings and no errors, adding four blocks. Freshman libero Elena Scott had a match-high four aces adding four digs. Clemson hit .105 for the match with the Tigers recording 27 kills, one ace and two blocks. Clemson was led by Kaylee Martin's seven kills

The Cardinals will head to Atlanta to face No. 18-ranked Georgia Tech on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Set 1
Clemson had a 9-8 lead in the first set before UofL used a 9-0 run spurred Tori Dilfer's serving. The run included two aces by Dilfer and two kills apiece by both Amaya Tillman and Aiko Jones. The Cards, up 18-10 outscored the Tigers 7-6 down the stretch for the 25-16 win. UofL outhit the Tigers .419 to .077.

Set 2
In the second set, UofL took a 15-7 lead heading into the media timeout. Aggressive serving and blocking kept the Tigers on their heels as the Cardinals notched four aces and three blocks enroute to the 25-11 win. Elena Scott had two of the four aces for the Cardinals.

Set 3
The Tigers came out of the break and tried to grab momentum, starting out with a 4-2 lead. The Cards pushed back with a 7-0 run powered by Elena Scott's serving to take a 10-4 lead. Â Clemson had a three point run to come within five at 15-10 and then another 3-0 run to get within four at 23-19. The Cardinals won the set on two straight Clemson miscues for the 25-19 win.
