Mizrahi Advances to Consolation Quarterfinals at ITA/Ohio Valley Championships

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The University of Louisville's David Mizrahi has advanced to the consolation quarterfinals and Matthew Fung lost to ninth-seeded Joubert Klopper in the main draw round of 16 at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Ohio Valley Regional Saturday at Tennessee's Goodfriend Tennis Center.

Mizrahi picked up a win in Saturday's singles consolation draw, beating Chattanooga's Kerim Hyatt 6-4, 3-6, 10-6. He will take on Kentucky's Jonathan Sorbo in the quarterfinals on Sunday at 9 a.m.

Fung, a junior from Miami, started the tournament with three straight wins including two against seeded players to reach Saturday's round of 16 where he fell 7-6(3), 6-2 to Vanderbilt's Klopper.

In doubles action, the tandem of Mizrahi and sophomore Kyle Tang fell 8-6 to Butler's Alvaro Huete and Borja Miralles.
