Louisville defeated No. 60 Notre Dame 4-3 and Dayton 4-0
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The University of Louisville men's tennis team was perfect on Saturday afternoon at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center, taking down both No. 60-ranked Notre Dame and the Dayton Flyers. The Cards closed out a tight match against the Fighting Irish, 4-3, while winning handedly over Dayton, 4-0. Â
Prior to the start of the Notre Dame match, Louisville honored Natan Rodrigues for Senior Day.Â
"What an amazing last day of the regular season, " said head coach Rodrigo da Silva. "After being down 3-0 against Notre Dame, the guys kept fighting and gave ourselves a chance to win the match. Andre' [Steinbach] came up big to clinch the match for us. Then one hour later, we are playing a Dayton team with 20 wins. The guys came out strong and took care of business. I am really proud of how they played and competed. Now we need to get ready for the ACCs"
