LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Â Kendall Griffin, a four-year performer at LSU, has signed a financial aid agreement to play her final collegiate season with the University of Louisville in 2021-22.
A three-time WGCA All-American scholar, Griffin finished her career at LSU with a 75.28 career stroke average and was a two-time SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll selection.
"We're so excited to sign Kendall as a graduate student," UofL head coach Whitney Young said. Â "She has had a very successful career at LSU and we look forward to her bringing energy, experience and passion to the University of Louisville. She will make an immediate impact on our program and help us in reaching our National Championship aspirations for 2022. The addition of Kendall really caps off what was already an exciting 2021 class."
The native of Sebring, Fla., had two top-10 finishes and one top-five as a senior. She carded an 11-under-par to finish in a tie for fifth at the SEC Championship and fired a 6-under-par to tie for sixth at the Moon Golf Invitational, a tournament hosted by Louisville.
As a junior, Griffin finished third on the team with a 73.86 stroke average, competing in seven regular season tournaments as the team finished the season ranked No. 12 in the nation. She picked up a top-10 finish by placing ninth at the Princess Anne Invitational and notched three additional top-25 finishes during the season.
Griffin competed in nine tournaments as a sophomore and led the team with seven rounds of even or under par. She posted a season-high third-place finish at the LSU Tiger Golf Classic, following a tie for ninth at the Tar Heel Classic.
During her sophomore season, she recorded her first collegiate hole-in-one during the second round of the NCAA East Lansing Regional. That season, she earned three top-20 finishes and was the top finisher on the team in three tournaments, including the regional.
