
Hartlage Moves into a Tie for Second at the NCAA Golf Championship

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Making her second trip to the NCAA Golf Championship, University of Louisville senior Lauren Hartlage saved her best for last after her play in the second round at the Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz. on Saturday.
Finishing in a tie for 38th in her first appearance in 2018, Hartlage is playing her best golf during her final days in a Louisville uniform.
Hartlage moved up 17 positions on the leader board into a tie for second place after shooting a 4-under-par 68 to close to within five shots of the lead heading into Sunday's third round of action. The 4-under-par 68 was the third-best round of the day behind the 5-under-par 67s by Rachel Heck of Stanford and Gina Kim of Duke. Heck holds the lead at 8-under par, while Hartlage and Kim are tied for second.
The senior from Elizabethtown, Ky., shot a 1-over-par 73 to finish the round in a tie for 19th place on Friday after registering three birdies and four bogeys during her first round.
Starting on hole No. 10, Hartlage recorded 12 consecutive pars before catching fire on the final six holes. The fifth-year senior recorded birdies on four of the final six holes to record the third-best round in school history during an NCAA Tournament event.
