No. 5 Boston College Too Much for No. 15 Louisville in Rematch

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – After taking No. 5 Boston College to overtime on Friday, No. 15 University of Louisville women's lacrosse fell 18-3 in the rematch against the Eagles on Sunday afternoon.

With the loss, the Cardinals fall to 4-6 overall and 0-5 in the ACC. Their last four games have been against top five teams. Boston College improves to 7-1 and 3-1 in league play.

The Eagles jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead with two goals in the first three minutes, but Louisville responded. Bella Karstien got the Cardinals on the board with 25:07 left in the first half and just over 30 seconds later Ally Hall tied the game with a side arm rip.

However, Boston College then took control, scoring 11 straight goals to end the half to take a 13-2 lead into the break.

Kylea Dobson added a Louisville goal with 17 seconds left, but the Cardinals fell 18-3.

Next up, the Cardinals remain on the road and take on Virginia Tech on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET.
