Louisville hopes to set school record for best start this weekend.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – No. 2 University of Louisville volleyball travels to Durham, N.C. for a Halloween ACC matchup against Duke at Cameron Indoor Stadium this Sunday, Oct. 31 at 1 pm E.T.

Louisville and Duke have met 14 times in series history, with the Cardinals currently holding an 8-6 series advantage and a five-match win streak. UofL's most recent victory against the Blue Devils was a 25-15, 25-22, 25-20 sweep in Durham on March 14, 2021. This season, Duke is 12-9 overall and 3-7 in the ACC and enter Sunday's matchup on a three-match losing streak, the most recent loss being a 3-0 defeat at NC State on Oct. 24. Led by Duke volleyball's all-time winningest head coach Jolene Nagel in her 23rd season, Duke has made 12 NCAA Tournament appearances, including an ACC-record seven consecutive trips from 2005-11. In her tenure, Duke has recorded 20-plus wins 14 times. The Blue Devils offense features three players with 125-plus kills and are led by senior Ade Owokoniran who has recorded 200 kills with 33 blocks, 34 digs and one ace. Junior Gracie Johnson is second on the team with 155 kills and has a team high 29 aces with 27 blocks while fellow junior Lizzie Fleming has tallied 126 kills and is hitting .290 with a team high 60 blocks.

The Cardinals remain No. 2 in the country but received first place votes for the first time this season after defeating No. 4 Pittsburgh in a highly competitive and exciting five set match on Oct. 24. Louisville owns a 20-0 record, tied for the best start in program history, and is 10-0 in ACC play. Louisville's offense features five players with 130-plus kills, including two who recorded more than 180. The Cards are led by sophomore Anna DeBeer who has tallied 189 kills and is hitting .275 with 143 digs, 22 blocks and 13 aces. Grad-student Anna Stevenson is second on the team with 180 kills and is hitting a red-hot .450 with 82 blocks and 10 aces. Senior Claire Chaussee has 156 kills on the season with 83 digs and 11 blocks. Redshirt-junior Aiko Jones has recorded 155 kills and has a team high 28 aces with 80 blocks and 60 digs while junior Amaya Tillman is leading the team with 93 blocks and has 136 kills with a .401 hitting percentage. Louisville's setter Tori Dilfer has racked up 722 assists on the season and has 31 blocks and 17 aces with three-time ACC Freshman of the Week Elena Scott racking up a team high 240 digs with 18 aces.
