
Louisville Hosts Duke for Senior Day on Thursday

The Cardinals and Blue Devils will kick off at 5 p.m. ET.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville women's soccer hosts Duke for Senior Day on Thursday night. The match will begin at 5 p.m. ET and broadcast on the ACC Network.

Louisville enters Sunday's match with a 7-6-2 overall record and they are 3-5-1 in Atlantic Coast Conference play.

Over the past four seasons, the senior class has compiled 37 wins and has made two trips to the NCAA Tournament. Their 1-0 win over Lipscomb in the first round of the 2019 NCAA Tournament marked the program's third ever NCAA Tournament victory.

Hanna Wise - served as goalkeeper for the Cardinals the past three seasons and recorded two saves this season at Notre Dame.

Cassie Amshoff - played in 17 games for Louisville, making nine starts, all during the 2020 season. In 2019, she scored a goal in a 5-0 victory over Eastern Michigan.

Mikayla Hampton - played in all 15 games for UofL this season after transferring from NorthÂwestern. She recorded an assist in the Cards' 4-3 win over James Madison.

Kiana Klein - played in 13 games during her time at UofL, including five games this season. She recorded her first career assist in this year's match against NC State.

Taylor Kerwin - played in 77 games, with 43 starts. She has scored four goals during her caÂreer, with one goal in each of her first four seasons. She has also been credited with four assists, including a two-assist game against Gardner Webb during her freshman campaign.

Delaney Snyder - played in 55 games with 33 starts. During her Cardinals career, she has scored 11 goals, including five game winners. She has recorded a team-high seven assists during her career, including a team-high four assists during her junior campaign. Her 29 points rank second among active UofL players.

Gabby Kouzelos - has rewritten the record books during her six-year stint with the Cardinals. She recorded back-to-back shutouts this season in wins over NKU and Saint Louis, the 27th and 28th of her career at Louisville, which is a program record. She recorded two saves in the 3-0 win over NKU to become the fifth player in UofL history to eclipse 200 saves and she ranks fourth in UofL program history with 255 saves. She ranks first all-time in UofL program history with 7,577 minutes in goal. From 2019 to 2021 she had a stretch of 36 consecutive games where she played every minute. She earned All-ACC accolades in 2019 and 2020 and has been named to the All-ACC Academic team multiple times.
ABOUT THE BLUE DEVILS
Duke enters Thursday's match with a 12-2-1 record and they are 6-2-1 in ACC play. They are ranked No. 1 in the latest RPI and have the second toughest strength of schedule in the nation. They are coming off consecutive wins over No. 15 Notre Dame (W, 1-0) and No. 1 Florida State (W, 1-0). They have won four straight since their 2-1 double overtime loss vs. NC State and have not allowed a goal in those for matches. Their only other loss was a 1-0 loss at No. 2 Virginia. They have allowed just seven goals all season, which leads the ACC, and just once have allowed multiple goals. GoalÂkeeper Ruthie Jones leads the ACC with a .841 save percentage and a 0.48 goals against average. Freshman Michelle Cooper leads the ACC with 1.75 points per game.

The Cardinals found the equalizer in the 54th minute when a long pass by Emina Ekic from the center line connected with Brooklynn Rivers down the left side for the goal. Louisville's collective defense held Duke without a shot in the second half.
