
Louisville Plays at Florida State on Sunday

The Cardinals and the Seminoles will begin play at 1 p.m. ET.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – After opening the season with a 3-0 win at Miami, University of Louisville women's soccer returns to action on Sunday at 1 p.m. at Florida State. The game will be televised on the ACC Network.

In Thursday's victory over the Hurricanes, the Cardinals scored three goals in a 12-minute span early in the first half and cruised to the win.

Delaney Snyder began the scoring on an assist from Emina Ekic six minutes into the game to give Louisville a 1-0 lead. The two later flipped roles as Snyder found Ekic to give Louisville a 3-0 lead 18 minutes into the game.

In between goals, Ekic scored an unassisted goal at the 14-minute mark to give Louisville a 2-0 lead. It marked Ekic's third multi-goal game of her career.

Louisville limited Miami to just five shots and one shot on goal.
ABOUT THE SEMINOLES
Florida State opened the season with a 5-0 win over Notre Dame on the opening night of the season. The 5-0 win was tied for the largest first game win under Krikorian. Florida State was highlighted by performances from Yujie Zhao, Cristina Roque and Emily Madril, who made her first appearance in a game in over two seasons.
The Seminole defense was stellar against the Irish allowing only two shots and one on goal that was saved by freshman goalkeeper Roque.

Florida State went 18-6 last season and 13-2 at home. They went 8-2 in conference play. The Seminoles advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament, falling to UCLA, 4-0.
