LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville baseball student-athletes Zach Britton, Lucas Dunn and Adam Elliott spoke with media representatives on Thursday.
Â
Britton, a junior outfielder from Batesville, Ind., was one of three players to start all 17 games this season for the Cardinals. Britton hit .322 with 12 RBIs and 14 runs scored. Britton also led all of Division I with 11 doubles and finished with 12 extra-base hits out of his 19 total hits on the year.
Â
Dunn, a junior utility player from Panama City Beach, Fla., missed the first nine games of the 2020 season after having surgery following a broken hamate bone, but returned to appear in eight games. Dunn finished with three hits in 11 at-bats, including a bases-clearing triple in the Cardinals' final game against Chicago State on March 11.
Â
Elliott, a senior left-handed pitcher from Louisville, led the Louisville pitching staff with seven appearances during the abbreviated season. Elliott surrendered just one earned run over 10.1 innings, posting a 1-0 record with a 0.87 ERA and 14 strikeouts. Elliott currently holds a 1.88 ERA over 67 career appearances, good enough for third on Louisville's all-time ERA list.
