
Louisville Hosts Longwood on Tuesday

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville women's lacrosse (3-3) hosts Longwood (2-3) on Tuesday afternoon at 1 p.m. ET.

The Cardinals are 3-3 to open the season after splitting two games last week.
ÂFor the second time in eight days, Rachel Florek set the program-record for saves in a game with 17 against Virginia Tech. She allowed eight goals and had a .680 save percentage against the Hokies. She also had 17 saves and a .531 save percentage in the loss at No. 14 Michigan.

She had 14 saves and a .518 save percentage in the win at Vanderbilt and has 48 saves in her last three games, good for 16.0 per game.

Through six games, Florek has 79 saves and a .537 save percentage. She leads the ACC and ranks second in the country with 79 saves. She also leads the league with 13.17 saves per game, which ranks sixth in the country. Her .537 save percentage ranks fifth in the league.

Louisville ranks third in the ACC with 12.3 caused turnovers per game and ranks fourth in the ACC with 19.0 ground balls per game.

Brenna Shanahan and Maddie Birch are tied for third in the ACC with 1.67 caused turnovers per game.

Longwood enters Tuesday's contest with a 2-3 record. They won their last game 15-14 over Old Dominion at home.

The Lancers feature three players with at least 13 goals. They are led by senior Kaitlin Luccarelli who has 16 goals and five assists for a team-leading 21 points. Fellow senior Dana Joss has 14 goals and junior Emma Johnson adds 13 goals. Joss is tied for the team-lead in draw controls with 19.

Sophomore Danielle Burke has started three of Longwood's five games in goal and has 39 saves with a .443 save percentage.
