Â
Louisville countered with a run in the home half of the first. Senior Celene Funke earned a leadoff walk and stole second to move into scoring position. Junior Maddy Newman's sacrifice bunt sent Funke to third and an error on the play allowed her to score, tying the game at 1-1.
