
Louisville Plays at No. 14 Michigan on Friday

The Cardinals and the Wolverines will begin play at 3 p.m. ET.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville women's lacrosse (2-1) plays at No. 14 Michigan (1-1) on Friday afternoon at 3 p.m. ET. The game will broadcast on Big Ten Plus, which is a paid service.

The Cardinals are 2-1 to open the season after splitting two games at home last week.
Through three games, junior goalkeeper Rachel Florek has 31 saves and a .492 save percentage. She had 13 saves in the loss to No. 9 Denver, which tied her career high. She had 13 saves last season in a 9-8 loss vs. Vanderbilt on 2/27/19 and in a 9-8 loss vs. Delaware on 3/31/19.

In wins at Cincinnati and against Marquette, Ally Hall, Hannah Morris and Allegra Catalano recorded hat tricks. Hall has nine career hat tricks, Morris has three and Catalano has two.

UofL is 2-0 against unranked teams and 0-1 against ranked teams. Last season, they went 5-4 against unranked teams and 0-9 against ranked teams.
Louisville has lost 20 straight games against ranked teams. Their last win over a ranked team was a 9-8 victory vs. No. 7 Syracuse on 4/22/17.

ABOUT THE WOLVERINES
Michigan (1-1) went 16-4 overall and 4-2 in Big Ten play a season go. They earned their first ever NCAA Tournament win over Jacksonville (13-9) in the first round, but lost to Denver (9-5) in the second round. Michigan also advanced to the Big Ten Tournament semifinals where they lost to No. 5 Northwestern 19-9.

The Wolverines return their second leading goal scorer Caitlin Muir for the 2020 season. The junior netted 38 goals with 21 assists for a team leading 59 points last season. Fellow junior Maggie Kane returns for the new season having scored 34 goals in 2019. Also returning for the Wolverines are seniors Lilly Grass and Molly Garret who scored 29 goals each, adding 19 and three assists respectively.

Michigan comes to Louisville after losing their second game of the season to No. 16 USC 10-8. Kane lead the team with three goals and one assist. Muir and Grass added one goal each with Muir also tallying three assists.
