Zach Harting Qualifies Second for 200M Fly World Championship

Harting moved from seventh to first in his semi-final heat with powerful back half of race.
University of Louisville swimmer Zach Harting qualified second for the finals second in the Men's 200M Butterfly with a strong back half his race.

In Harting's semi-final heat, Â Italy's Federico Burdisso began the race on a world record pace and led through 150M. Harting, who was seventh at the 100-meter mark, surged to into the wall to win the heat in 1:55.26. His comeback included a split of 29.97, as one of just four men in the event to post a sub-30 split.

In the other semi-final heat, Kristof Milak of Hungary put up the fastest time of the field with a 1:52.96, beating Olympican gold medalist Chad le Clos for the top spot in the final.
