UofL edged 4-3 by Hokies
The University of Louisville women's tennis team fell 4-3 at Virginia Tech Friday evening in Blacksburg, Va.

Tech (5-7, 1-3 ACC) took the doubles point with wins on all three courts. At No. 1, Natalie Novotna and Rita Pinto won 6-2 over Sena Suswam and Dina Chaika. Raven Neely and Diana Wong fell in a tiebreaker at No. 2, 7-6(4) to VT's Nika Kozar and Nina Sorkin. At No. 3, Samantha Gillas and Elizabet Danailova edged Chloe Hamlin and Aleksandra Mally in a 7-6(3) decision.

In singles, No. 116 ranked Natalie Novotna beat UofL's Sena Suswam 6-3, 6-2 at the No. 1 slot. Chloe Hamlin put Louisville on the board with a 6-2, 1-6, 6-1 over Rita Pinto win at No. 5. Nikolina Jovic beat Nika Kozar 7-5, 6-3 at No. 2. The Hokies pushed back at No. 6 when Nina Sorkin downed Cardinal Diana Wong 6-2, 3-6, 6-2. Samantha Gillas of VT downed Aleksandra Mally 1-5, 6-4, 7-5 to clinch the match. Raven Neely beat VT's Elizabet Danailova 3-6, 7-5, 7-5 for UofL's third point.

The Cardinals (10-11) head to Charlottesville, Va. for a match on Sunday at No. 20 Virginia on April 7 at 11 a.m.
