Louisville Women’s Golf Travels to Georgia for Liz Murphey Collegiate

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Louisville women's golf team will hit the road for the 47th annual Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic hosted by the University of Georgia. The three-day tournament will be played at the University of Georgia Golf Course.
The tournament opens on Thursday with 18 holes of stroke play, followed by match play on Friday and Saturday. The top eight teams from stroke play will advance to the Red Bracket, where they will compete for the team championship. The bottom four will move to the Black Bracket for a round robin of three matches the final two days.
Louisville is playing in the Liz Murphy Collegiate for the second straight season, after finishing eighth in the 2018 event. Lauren Hartlage shot 6-under par 66 in the opening round and tallied her seventh top-10 finish of the year, taking eighth place overall.
For the Cardinals, the tournament will be the final event prior to the ACC Championship set to begin next week. In eight events this season, Louisville owns a victory at the Alexa Stirling Intercollegiate along with a runner-up finish at the Moon Golf Invitational and third-place showings at the Cardinal Cup and Minnesota Invitational.
Louisville's lineup this week will feature Hartlage, Mairead Martin, Olivia Cason, Margot Bechadergue and Delaney Shah.
The Cardinals are paired up with South Carolina for Thursday's opening round. The two teams will begin teeing off at 9:50 a.m., ET off the first hole. Live scoring is available at Golfstat.com.
