
Women's Lacrosse Falls at Syracuse in Regular Season Finale

Seven different Cardinals scored, led by Caroline Blalock's two goals.
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - University of Louisville women's lacrosse fell 19-8 in their regular season finale at No. 19 Syracuse on Sunday afternoon.
With the loss, the Cardinals move to 6-10 overall and 0-7 in Atlantic Coast Conference play, while Syracuse improves to 9-8 and 1-6.
Louisville fell behind 6-3 early, but Sarah Blalock and Madison Hoover scored back-to-back goals and the Cards went into the locker room trailing 7-5.
After Syracuse extended its lead to 8-5, the Cardinals scored three straight goals, coming from Caroline Blalock, Ally Hall and Emily Howell, to pull even at 8-8 with just over 25 minutes remaining.
But, Louisville did not score the rest of the way as Syracuse cruised to victory.
Caroline Blalock led the scoring with two goals, while Jillian Balog and Tessa Chad also found the back of the net.
Lexie Ball finished with a season-high 14 saves.
Next up, the Cardinals travel to Durham, N.C. for the first round of the ACC Tournament. They will face No. 1 seed Boston College at 11 a.m. ET.Â
