Women's Lacrosse Plays at Duke on Saturday Afternoon
March 09, 2018 | Women's Lacrosse
The Cardinals and Blue Devils will square off at 12 p.m. ET.
The Cardinals have opened the season with wins in their first three road games and look to even their ACC record at 1-1.
Last Sunday at home, Louisville fell 14-9 to Notre Dame in the conference opener. Despite the loss, head coach Scott Teeter believes his team is moving in the right direction.
"Even though we didn't get the win last week, we were better than we were the week before, which is exciting to see as a head coach," said Teeter. "The girls are working hard, they're buying in and they're starting to understand why we do things. Once we clean some areas up and fine tune some things, I think we'll give a lot of teams in the ACC a run for their money."
Freshman Caroline Blalock has 14 goals in her last four games and now leads the team with 19 goals on the season. She is tied for the team-lead with 24 points as she has five assists and ranks second on the team with 17 ground balls.
ABOUT THE BLUE DEVILS
