
Women's Lacrosse Plays at Mercer on Wednesday Afternoon

The Cardinals and Bears will square off at 4 p.m. ET.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville women's lacrosse (5-3, 0-2) travels to Macon, Ga. to face Mercer in a non-conference matchup on Wednesday afternoon at 4 p.m. ET.
After opening the season with a 5-1 record, the Cardinals have lost two straight to open Atlantic Coast Conference play.
Last Saturday, Louisville fell at Duke, but they rallied to score six of the final seven goals in the contest.
Freshman Caroline Blalock once again led the way with four goals. She now has 18 goals in her last five games and a team-high 23 on the season. She also leads the team with 19 ground balls, 12 caused turnovers and ranks second with 21 draw controls.
Julia Wood, Tessa Chad and Madison Hoover added two goals each in the game against Duke. Chad ranks second on the team with 20 goals, while Wood ranks fourth with 12 and Hoover has eight goals and five assists on the year.

Mercer (3-3, 0-0) enters Wednesday's contest with wins in its last three games after opening the year with three straight losses. On Sunday, they won 21-7 against Presbyterian, marking their first home win of the year. They are led by senior Kate Leone, who has a team-high 19 goals.
