Swimming and Diving Appear in Latest Poll

Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving rank among the nation's best
With the completion of the dual meet season and the ACC Championships approaching, the University of Louisville men's and women's swimming and diving teams were recognized in both the CollegeSwimming.com Top 50 and the TYR / CSCAA Top 25 poll.

The UofL women were tabbed as the No. 5 team in the CollegeSwimming.com Dual Meet standings and the No. 6 team in the Championships standings, the highest rankings among ACC squads. The Louisville men checked in at No. 17 in both rankings, second among ACC schools behind the NC State Wolfpack in the Dual Meet Top 50 and third in the Championship Top 50 behind the Wolfpack and Florida State.

According to CollegeSwimming.com, the team rankings are measured by comparing the top times of each team in a simulated championship or dual meet setting. The Championship Top 50 uses measurements from 13 individual events and five relays, while the Dual Meet Top 50 utilizes nine individual events and two relays.

The Cards also earned a spot in the latest TYR / CSCAA Top 25 poll with both the men and women receiving the nod at No. 14. The men are the second-ranked ACC team behind fifth-ranked NC State. On the women's side, Virginia is the top ACC squad at No. 7, followed by No. 10 NC State with the Cards in third at No. 14.

Next up, Louisville will host the UofL Invitational on Saturday and Sunday at the Ralph Wright Natatorium. Prelims are slated to begin each day at 10 a.m., followed by finals at 5 p.m.
