
Cardinals Ranked in Top-10 of CSCAA/TYR Top 25 Poll

The Louisville women are ranked sixth and the men are ranked eighth.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – For the second straight voting period, the University of Louisville men's and women's swimming and diving teams are ranked among the top-10 in the latest College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) TYR Top 25 Poll. The Louisville women move up two spots to No. 6, while the men climb to No. 8.
The Louisville women are the top-ranked squad in the ACC, followed by No. 9 NC State, No. 11 Virginia, No. 15 Notre Dame, No. 20 Duke and No. 24 North Carolina.
The men sit second in the ACC behind sixth-ranked NC State. Other ACC programs in the rankings are No. 16 Virginia, No. 19 Florida State, No. 20 Georgia Tech, and No. 23 Notre Dame.
Up next, current Cardinal swimmers Mallory Comerford, Zach Harting and Marcelo Acosta as well as alumni Carlos Claverie, Grigory Tarasevich and Kelsi Dahlia will compete at the FINA Short Course World Championships in Hangzhou, China. Competition will run through Dec. 11-16.
About the CSCAA TYR Top 25 Poll
The poll aims to measure teams in head-to-head competition and is voted on by a panel of CSCAA-member coaches. The remaining polls are scheduled to be released on Jan. 23, Feb. 13 and Feb. 20
