Mallory Comerford Named ACC Swimmer of the Week

Comerford was ACC Star at the ACC/Big Ten Challenge
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Following a highly successful weekend at the inaugural ACC/Big Ten Challenge, University of Louisville senior Mallory Comerford has been selected as the ACC Swimmer of the Week, which was announced Monday by the Atlantic Coast Conference Office.

Comerford was the ACC's top performer at the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, where she scored 13 individual points and was an integral member of all four second place relays. She became the first swimmer to break 47 in the 100 free this season, stopping the clock in an NCAA 'A' cut time of 46.96, her second 'A' cut of the season.

Comerford had the fastest splits of the entire field on all four of the ACC's 'A' relays, including a 45.97 split on the anchor leg of the 400 medley relay, which was a full second faster than any other competitor. Individually, she also finished second in the 200 free with an NCAA B cut time of 1:43.58.
