Cardinals Earn CSCAA National Rankings

The Louisville women are No. 8 and the men are No. 13.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville men's and women's swimming and diving teams each solidified a spot in the latest College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) TYR Top 25 Poll, which was released on Oct. 24. The Louisville women checked in at No. 8, while the men were tabbed at No. 13.
Louisville's men rank second among the seven ACC squads who appeared in the poll. NC State leads the way at No. 4, followed by the No. 13 Cardinals, No. 16 Virginia, No. 17 Georgia Tech, No. 18 Notre Dame, No. 21 Florida State and No. 25 Pitt.
In the women's poll, Louisville's No. 8 ranking is third in the ACC. NC State's women also earned the No. 4 ranking, followed by No. 7 Virginia, No. 8 Louisville, No. 13 Notre Dame, No. 20 Duke and No. 21 Florida State.
Louisville will take on a pair of ranked opponents this week as they head to Knoxville, Tenn. for a dual meet against the Tennessee Volunteers on Thursday at 2 p.m.. On the men's side, the Vols received the nod at No. 15, while the women are ranked No. 24.
About the CSCAA TYR Top 25 Poll
The poll aims to measure teams in head-to-head competition and is voted on by a panel of CSCAA-member coaches. The remaining polls are scheduled to be released on Nov. 14, Dec. 5, Jan. 23, Feb. 13 and Feb. 20
