Thibodeau Shoots 68 in Opening Round at Tar Heel Invitational

Thibodeau is tied for fourth, while the Cardinals are in fourth place after one round.
Overall, the Cardinals are in fourth place after shooting an even-par 288.
Thibodeau finished with seven birdies on the day to finish at four-under, just two strokes off the lead.Â
"To finish with seven birdies and a 68, which is the second best round I've ever shot, it was a great day," said Thibodeau. "Despite all of the rain yesterday, the course was in great condition. I'm ready to get out there and play well again tomorrow."
Olivia Cason finished four strokes back of Thibodeau with an even-par 72 and is T-19, while Lauren Hartlage shot one-over 73 and is T-26.Â
Mairead Martin and Margot Bechadergue rounded out Louisville's starting five with a pair of three-over 75's and are T-42.
Teams are slated to resume play at 9:09 a.m. ET tomorrow morning. Bechadergue will get the Cardinals started at 9:54 a.m. ET.
